JCLDOur Nation, the Air Force, and Airmen and their families rely on members of The Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps) to carry out a broad and diverse mission that critically impacts individuals, organizations, and operations. The demands of this responsibility require every JAG Corps officer, enlisted member, and civilian employee to perform as a leader. The JAG Corps instituted JAG Corps’ Leadership Development (JCLD) to develop the leadership skills of all JAG Corps members through a variety of methods. JCLD tailors existing Air Force development education and training opportunities to the JAG Corps. I LEAD! Developing JAG Corps Leaders is a central component of JCLD. The concepts set forth in I Lead! are placed into practice and instruction through various methods. In the field, JCLD is implemented through distance education--utilizing various products from the JCLD website, such as practical exercises, case studies, multimedia training tools, and readings. Similar products are utilized in a classroom setting at The Judge Advocate General’s School, as leadership training is incorporated into a variety of substantive courses. The JAG Corps Leadership Summit, formally known as the Keystone Leadership Summit (“Keystone”), is a key element of JCLD.
